If I want to purchase my own Broadband modem, what should I look for?

If I want to purchase my own Broadband modem, what should I look for?

    Solution/Answer:

Below is a list of specifications that a Broadband modem must have; however, even if the Broadband modem you purchase meets these specifications, there is no guarantee it will work properly with our system.

If you use your own modem rather than leasing a Broadband modem from Rainier Connect, we recommend you bring the modem into our office prior to installation so we can verify compatibility.

Always make sure you can return your Broadband modem where you purchased it in case it turns out to be incompatible.
